Q+A with the McEwan family at Ury Estate

23rd Jan, 2018

Kerry, Greg and their twin girls Isla and Millie moved into their home at Ury Estate in Stonehaven back in May 2016, and we've asked them a few questions about why they moved there, and what they love about their new home...

Why did you choose to live in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire?

"We didn’t live in Stonehaven before, but we were drawn to it because of its ideal location and because it has everything - lovely walks along the beach, and lots of nice shops and restaurants. It's a lovely little town."

What do you love about living at Kirkwood's Ury Estate?

"It's a great development, and we moved in at the same time as lots of other families which was nice. Everyone is really friendly, and we all look out for each other.

"“We have twin girls Isla and Millie, and we often arrange play dates with our neighbour’s children. There is a lovely atmosphere here – we even organise street parties and BBQs in the communal area with all the neighbours which is good fun."

What's your favourite thing about your new home?

"We absolutely love our new home. We chose the five bed Drumallan as it has great sized rooms, especially the open-plan kitchen, dining and family room where we spend most of our time. It's our favourite part of the house. It's great for entertaining, and spending time with each other.

"The twins love the outdoors - especially the wide pavements for riding their scooters with the neighbour's kids, and the big back garden for playing on the swings."

What's your top tip for people trying to find their perfect family home?

"Our top tip would be to always make sure you have plenty of space to store all the kids' things! And also make sure there are plenty of areas for the kids to play. We managed to tick both of these boxes with our new home."
