Luxury housing developer Kirkwood Homes has triumphed at the Herald Property Awards, winning the Best Small Family Home accolade for its ‘Birse’ housetype at Strabathie Village in Blackdog.
The 136m² three-bedroom detached ‘Birse’ features an impressive triple-aspect lounge, an open-plan kitchen and dining area, and generously sized double bedrooms all complete with built-in storage.
Additionally, the home features a flexible office space, suitable for use as a nursery or fourth bedroom, while the master bedroom boasts a deluxe en-suite and walk-in-wardrobe.
The Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2024 took place in Glasgow on Thursday, September 26, marking its 17th year honouring the achievements of Scotland’s most innovative and successful builders, developers, agents, interior designers and registered social landlords, for both residential and commercial projects.
The ‘Birse’ housetype was described by the judges as a grand family home with ample storage - with one judge commenting that they would have purchased one in a heartbeat.
This latest win follows Kirkwood Homes’ success at last year’s awards, where the housing developer took home the prize for Best Showhome for its 297m² ‘Gullane’ showhome in Inchmarlo, Banchory.
Colin Crombie, managing director at Kirkwood Homes, said: “Following on from our success at last year’s event, we are thrilled to have won Best Small Family Home this year - especially as the only finalist representing Aberdeen city and shire in the category. This achievement reflects the passion and dedication that our entire team brings to every project.
“Being recognised among Scotland’s best developers is a true testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional homes that meet the highest standard of design, quality and customer satisfaction.”
