For something slightly more formal, there’s the family-friendly Cock & Bull Restaurant just outside Balmedie. For those who enjoy a peaceful stroll, there’s a pretty, sandy beach on the doorstep of our development, and Blackdog is also ideally located for visiting the stunning beaches at Balmedie, Aberdeen and Newburgh - the latter being home to a 400 strong colony of seals.
Heading into Bridge of Don you’ll find Scotstown Moor, a beautiful nature reserve with a fantastic dedicated walking route which is popular with local dog walkers - while Forvie Nature Reserve is just a short drive away in Newburgh.

A variety of shops can be found a short drive away at the Bridge of Don Retail Park, including a Marks & Spencer food hall, Home Bargains, B&Q and Pets at Home to name a few, plus a Costa Coffee with a drive-through. Heading further into Bridge of Don, you’ll find additional retail, namely an Asda store and Tesco Extra.
