Kirkwood Homes Launches New Homes Plan At Inverurie Golf Club
Luxury house builder Kirkwood Homes Ltd has unveiled plans for the development of impressive new executive homes overlooking Inverurie Golf Club in Aberdeenshire.
Keen golfers will be interested in snapping up a top quality property adjacent to the popular north-east course and the tranquil surroundings will also appeal to families looking to enjoy suburban living in the thriving community of Inverurie.
The development comprises 18 detached five and six-bedroom properties. Each is designed to be of traditional appearance and design in keeping with the golf club setting. The access road to the club will also be upgraded as part of the development.
Kirkwood Homes managing director Colin Crombie said the company has worked closely with Inverurie Golf Club to develop properties that will complement the course and surrounding area. It is intended that the development will be released for sale in early 2012.
He added: “Kirkwood Homes is delighted to be working with Inverurie Golf Club and we have developed a coordinated approach with the club to manage and minimise disruption and we have a commitment to work closely with the committee and members. We will be holding regular meetings throughout the detailed planning phase of the development and the construction programme. We will ensure golfers will face the absolute minimum of disruption.”
“Kirkwood Homes is delighted to be building this standard of property in Inverurie as we believe the town is one of the most vibrant communities in the north east. There is an excellent level of amenity in the town and the surrounding area of Garioch is now a very desirable location.”
John Miller, of the golf club’s working party said: “Inverurie Golf Club is delighted to be working with Kirkwood Homes and the proposed development has been unanimously approved by a recent EGM of the membership. Kirkwood Homes has a long-established and well-earned reputation for delivering high quality housing that enhances the community. It also has strong local roots ensuring negotiations have been concluded in an excellent manner.
“The income will allow us to reinvest in the club and develop facilities for our members. There has been a close level of cooperation with Kirkwood Homes throughout the process and that will continue as we progress through the detailed planning and construction phases.”
Kirkwood expects to launch its eagerly anticipated development in Echt, which is a development of 33, four and five-bedroom properties, it is expected that the development will be released for sale in August of this year.
The Sauchen based builder has seen a good start to 2011 across all its developments in Keith, Fetterangus, Insch, Stonehaven, Fettercairn and in particular at its new development in Monymusk, where the first phase sold out within hours of plots being released for sale in April. The second phase has now been released and demand has remained high. A total of 24 luxury homes and five listed steadings will be built in the historic village.
Mr Crombie believes there is still a considerable degree of pent-up demand for housing and improvements in the lending market in 2011 – for example, the availability of 90% mortgages and a large range of very attractively priced mortgage products for customers who have larger deposits coupled with a more stable economic situation in the region - means the north-east market remains in better health than elsewhere in Scotland.
